Gregor White, InGAME Co-Director and Dean of Design & Informatics and Professor of Applied Creativity at Abertay University, delivered the lunch time talk at VA Dundee this afternoon.
InGAME is delighted to be supporting V&A Dundee’s first video game commission, Plaything, developed to complement their next exhibition Videogames: Design/Play/Disrupt. The exhibition runs from the 20th April to 8th September 2019 and InGAME will be providing technical and production support for Plaything for the duration of the exhibit.
Marie-Claire Isaaman, CEO of Women in Games, opened our first Innovation Lab, a regular feature of InGAME which will create exciting opportunities for the Dundee games industry. An Innovation Lab brings together industry and academic partners to explore the challenges that face the local games sector (and beyond). We plan to hold four innovation labs a year, each hosted by a new collaborator and on a new theme.
InGAME welcomed Manuel Badel, founder of Badel Media, for a masterclass in blockchain in the creative industries. He was joined by Bronwin Patrickson and Ronan Sandford, creator of Etherplay, in exploring how blockchain can be utilised in a video game context.
